A fair contest, won readily enough by SWALLOW FOREST. She had gained her first placing when a staying-on second over course and distance last week, and built on that performance here as she responded to a strong ride to pull away from the field in the last 150 yards.

Lujiana, who has gone up 8lb in the weights since winning here in February, hung badly when beaten at Wolverhampton last time and, though she kept straighter on this occasion, the rise in the weights found her out against the still unexposed winner.

Bahamarama, who had won a 6f seller at Wolverhampton last time, faced a stiffer task back in handicap company here and, though she turned in a respectable effort to suggest she can be as effective on this surface as on Polytrack- she had run moderately on her two previous visits here - her best chance of further success may come in sellers/claimers.

Planet Paraside, who had run creditably on her last two starts, struggled a bit this time from out of the handicap and is still waiting her first win.
