Copper Bay tracked leaders, led 3 out, driven and stayed on well run-in
Moment Of Madness joined leaders 4th, led 7th to 3 out, stayed on same pace run-in
Eborarry held up well in touch, outpaced and lost place 11th, stayed on to chase leaders last, kept on same pace
Cebonne held up well in touch, went prominent 7th, effort 3 out, faded last
Cash On Friday chased leaders, weakened approaching 3 out
Spring Gamble chased leaders, hit 8th, blundered and lost place next, soon behind
Stagecoach Amber led to 7th, driven 10th, handy 5th and staying on when blundered 3 out, eventually unseated rider
Analyis of the race
There were only seven runners and five of them were still there with a chance three out and they included Stagecoach Amber who made a mistake and parted company with his rider who made a valiant effort to keep the partnership intact.
COPPER BAY, blinkered for the first time, had completed only once in his last four starts, but he gamely got back to winning ways. He was on a reasonable handicap mark and clearly this trip suited him.
Eborarry was still there with a chance at the last but he was one paced from then on. He runs decent races but is not that easy to win with. Cebonne gave best from the last but showed a bit more encouragement.
