Sharp Dresser always prominent, led approaching 2 out, soon clear, easily
Jocheski held up and behind, headway 6th, ran on under pressure to take 2nd flat, no chance with winner
San Marino pulled hard, with leader, led 3rd until approaching 2 out, soon beaten
Caheerloch prominent until ridden and weakened approaching 2 out
Fair Coppelia led to 3rd, with leader, not fluent 5th, weakened approaching 2 out
Lord Crewe held up in touch, ridden approaching 6th, weakened 3 out
Azreme held up in mid-division, steady headway 4th, ridden and weakened approaching 2 out
Nesotho always towards rear
Wolf Warning pulled hard early towards rear, steady headway after 5th, hit 3 out, soon weakened
My Nicole mid-division, hit 2nd, behind from 6th
Oceans Grand always behind, tailed off from 6th
Big Ralph always behind, tailed off 6th, pulled up before 2 out
This contest lost much of its interest with the withdrawal of Turfshuffle, which left the way open for SHARP DRESSER who proceeded to win as she pleased. She was fancied to win on her hurdles debut when runner-up at Wetherby, but made amends here. She obviously handles this quicker ground and is in the right hands to build on this.
San Marino showed enough to suggest there is a little race in him possible after another run when handicapped.
Caheerloch was a 90-rated horse on the Flat in Ireland and was making his British and hurdles debut. He was up there from the start and there might be a little question mark over his staying on this evidence.
