Analyis of the race
Hard to know what to make of this bumper, which was run at just a modest pace. The tempo increased once in line for home, and Sir Tantallus Hawk, having moved easily behind the leaders, went to the front comfortably enough. Once there, however, he was unable to assert his superiority, and under strong pressure, he was swamped close home by a host of strong finishers.
LADY BLUESKY came home best of all to get on top near the line. A small filly, she was far from unfancied, with her trainer stating that she had been working well at home. She lacks scope, so it remains to be seen how much she can improve.
DesertStag confirmed the promise he showed on his debut, while Blue Acre made a most encouraging debut, staying on well.
Executive Xpress, who had shown little on his debut, ran much better here, while Sitting Tennant also shaped well on his debut.
