This was a low-grade handicap, confined to conditional jockeys, and the combination of recent winner LILY TARAand the in-form Felix de Gilles proved a winning one. Striking the front before the second-last, she was soon clear and, flying the final flight, won with something to spare.
Raised 5lb for her latest success, the winner is likely to go by that more for this victory. Only small, she might soon be vulnerable if the handicapper overreacts to this win.
Panthers Run, given a patient ride, made up a lot of ground to finish fourth, while Doris’s Gift continues to frustrate.
The remainder were well held, with Nifty Roy leading them home.
