Pertemps Networks chased leaders, driven to lead over 2f out, stayed on strongly to forge clear final furlong

Saluscraggie held up in midfield on outside, effort under pressure 3f out, soon beaten

Calzaghe held up, ridden from halfway, shortlived effort over 3f out, soon beaten

Mayadeen missed break, behind, struggling halfway, never on terms

This was run at a decent pace and it was won in fine style by PERTEMPS NETWORKS, who caught a tartar in Clear Reef on his last run on the Flat, but has shown much improved form over hurdles. He raced in touch, was ridden along briefly three out but came back on the bridle and was ridden clear in the final furlong. He's well handicapped on the Flat and is one to note if turning out with a penalty.

Nero West, who set a decent pace, was niggled along from the home turn but kept on for second. He's come back in decent form and should soon be found a winning opportunity.

Hill Billy Rock, coming back after a longbreak, was by no means disgraced in fifth. He was not given a hard race and should come on for the run.

Calzaghe was never going and ran well below the form he'd shown at Doncaster last time.
