Fishforcompliments, who showed some very useful form as a juvenile and was tried without success in Group and Listed company last term, ran a sound race on his handicap debut, racing just away from the rails but chasing the winner most of the way and keeping on well to finish clear of the rest. He showed here that he acts on soft ground, but he's also effective on fast ground and could beinteresting in decent handicaps.
Few of the others got into it, with Dhaular Dhar running on from off thepace to take fifth ahead of Overrule, who was making his seasonal debut, and Jamieson Gold.
