Robbie Can Can steadied start, held up in last pair, no progress final 2f
Irish Ballad took keen hold, mostly chased leader until weakened over 2f out
Three Half Crowns dwelt, keen and soon led, headed and weakened rapidly over 2f out, tailed off
Love Academy in touch until broke down and pulled up 5f out
One has to feel sorry for Wee Charlie Castle, who had to settle for the runner-up spot once again. He is not an easy ride but certainly has the ability to add to his career tally at some stage.
Trysting Grove has been in good form recently and helps to set the standard. She came to have every chance up the inside but was another who could not get on terms.
Bowl Of Cherries does not seem to have taken to hurdling and certainly ran much better on this occasion. He needs to ease down the weights a touch to be more interesting.
Scutch Mill did not run too badly on his return to the Flat, while Granary Girl dropped out quickly after holding every chance.
