Duke Of Milan held up in last, scythed through on inner from 2f out going easily, led entering final furlong, hung fire in front and driven out
Guildenstern took keen hold early, held up in midfield, progress 2f out, tried to challenge 1f out, stayed on to snatch 2nd last strides
Is It Time soon pressed leader, driven to lead just over 1f out, headed and one pace entering final furlong
Hart Of Gold held up in rear, pushed along and progress from just over 2f out, upsides 1f out, kept on same pace
Greenwood stumbled start, well in rear, steady progress from 2f out, chased leaders 1f out, one pace and no impression after
Double Valentine held up in rear, progress on inner 2f out, not much room over 1f out, not recover
Nightstrike led at strong pace to just over 1f out, weakened
Bollin Franny chased leaders, lost place soon after halfway, tried to rally on outer 2f out, one pace
Simpsons Gamble never beyond midfield, driven on wide outside 2f out, not quicken and no progress
Desert Light pressed leaders, gradually lost place under pressure final 2f
Barbar fast away from wide draw to press leaders, lost place and struggling over 2f out
Stamford Blue progress from midfield halfway, driven to challenge 2f out, immediately gave up under pressure
Guildenstern, who has been in good heart recently, ran right up to his best. His wins are very infrequent but his effort could not be faulted here.
Is It Time showed much more than on her most recent start. She has more scope than others in the field but was running off a 3lb higher mark than her only success, and needs to improve a bit.
Double Valentine would not have won but got stopped in her run when Hart Of Gold started his bid up the inside rail. Bollin Franny was not completely disgraced on his first start for new connections and is entitled tocome on for the run.
Simpsons Gamble came down the middle of the course and never looked like playing a part in the finish once under pressure. Desert Light chased the leader through the early stages but folded very tamely under pressure.
