Desert Dreamer held up in midfield, progress to track leader 2f out, closed to lead 1f out, shaken up and always holding on
Teasing steadied start, held up in last pair, progress from 2f out, stayed on to chase winner last 100yds, closing at finish but never really threatened
Satyricon tracked leaders, wide bend 3f out, tried to close from 2f out, bumped along furiously and kept on
The Jailer led, driven 2f out, headed 1f out, one pace
Landucci soon tracked leading pair, ridden 2f out, not quicken over 1f out, one pace after
Apache Dawn steadied start, held up in last pair, going well 3f out, ridden and no response well over 1f out
Sir Douglas took keen hold, pressed leader to 2f out, weakened under pressure
Zeeuw prominent 3f, soon ridden and lost place, tailed off
DESERT DREAMER hadthe perfect passage throughout the race and, having quickened nicely, won comfortably. He was well suited by the way the race was run and is a decent sort in this grade.
Teasing had beaten Desert Dreamer when they met last time, but the winner gotfirst run on her and she was never getting to him quickly enough. A model of consistency, she can win something similar soon.
Satyricon seems a very tricky ride, as he looked to be going with plenty of gusto turning in. However, he did not look asif he was helping his inexperienced rider, who got slightly unbalanced in the final stages. He is not one to trust.
Landucci, who attracted some market support, never picked up for pressure after having every chance. Apache Dawn, who was steadied at the start, could not raise an effort when asked to quicken. He looked very one-paced under pressure.
Sir Douglas, who missed an engagement the previous day due to traffic problems, was keen under restraint and failed to get home. Zeeuw was beaten turning in and dropped out alarmingly.
