ROYAL AUDITON was a shock winner, taking advantage when the runner-up started to wander under pressure and then just holding on. She was miles out of the handicap and carrying overweight. However, placed form on soft ground early in her career before a pelvis injury suggests this was not a complete fluke. It will be interesting to see what the Handicapper does.
SnakeSkin came here in form and proven on the ground, but she had no easy task with a 6lb penalty for her recent short-head win at Warwick. She would still have won probably but for wandering around up the straight.
The first three came a long way clear of the tiring Magdalene.
