Straight close up, ridden 2f out, driven to lead just inside final furlong, held on gamely
Swallow Forest in rear and soon pushed along, ridden well over 1f out, stayed on strongly inside final furlong, just failed
Planet Paradise chased leaders on outer, headway halfway, ridden to lead well over 1f out, edged left and headed just inside final furlong, driven and no extra towards finish
Admirals Way led to halfway, soon ridden along and weakened well over 1f out
Stoneacre Chris close up, led halfway, soon ridden and headed well over 1f out, soon weakened, broke blood vessel
Heron dwelt, soon ridden along and always in rear
Swallow Forest, who finished last of six after being backed down to favourite for a Wolverhampton maiden in February, again failed to deliver when dropped into a seller there last month. But despite racing on the slower stands side here, she finished well and does not need toimprove much on this effort to pick up a little handicap over an extra furlong.
But she did at least reverse last month's Kempton placings with Admirals Way, who was beaten at halfway and his rider reported that the horse was unsuited by the Fibresand.
