What Katie Did soon chasing leaders, ridden to lead inside final furlong, held on well
Hobson dwelt, took keen hold in rear, hung left entering straight, good late headway, just held
Maggie Kate led, hard ridden and headed inside final furlong, not quicken
Cracking Nick held up in rear, ridden and headway over 1f out, stayed on same pace final furlong
Seductive Witch chased leaders, driven to challenge final furlong, no extra final 100yds
We Have A Dream chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Young Ivanhoe held up in 6th, ridden over 2f out, soon outpaced
Our Acquaintance in touch on outside until ridden and weakened over 1f out
WHAT KATIE DID was again enthusiastic in chasing the pace but he enyoys this surface and held on well.
Hobson hasdone well over the winter and the way he thundered home down the wide outside after hanging around the home bend when still last suggests he should soon be winning. He has clearly strengthened up, having struggled to get home over this when tried last season before reverting to 5f.
Maggie Kate set a sound if unspectacular pace and battled on when headed but remains a maiden.
Seductive Witch was not disgraced in finishing clear of the rest without quite threatening to get into the argument up the straight.
