Kingscape always going well, led on bit 2 out, easily
Poliglotti soon chasing leader, led after 5th to 2 out, beaten when mistake last
Pagan Sword held up, headway 4th, every chance approaching 2 out, soon ridden, one pace
Just Intersky took keen hold in mid-division, not fluent 2nd, headway approaching 5th, ridden approaching 2 out, soon weakened
Prince Emmanuel held up and behind, headway after 5th, never near leaders
Weststern took keen hold, prominent until weakened approaching 2 out
Vilcabamba jumped right 2nd, always behind
Pactolos Way not fluent 2nd, always behind
Call Me Sir not fluent 1st, jumped right 4th, always behind
Briery Breeze pulled hard early, in touch until lost place approaching 4th
Beech Games not fluent 3rd, always behind
Diamant Rose held up, headway 4th, jumped slowly 5th, soon weakened
Strategic Plan led, soon clear, jumped right 4th, headed after 5th, soon weakened
Princess Arwen jumped right, always in rear
KINGSCAPE sluiced up, enjoying this big drop in class, and did not have to be asked a question, popping around and taking the measure of Poliglotti from the second-last, although he was looking to edge left.
Connections have no big plans for this 80-rated Flat horse but reported he had a little setback after his Newbury debut and possibly just needed his run in the Sidney Banks over further. He is a quirky sort and despite his 1m4f form on the Flat, looks a speed horse over hurdles.
Pagan Sword shaped well after his break, seemingly enjoying this better ground to show better form. He nearly snatched second from the labouring Poliglotti on the run-in and should win a similar race.
Just Intersky, who brought little form to the table, was easily shrugged off around the home turn by the principals.
Prince Emmanuel emerged out of the second group to give chase after three out and plugged on well enough, but the form behind the first three looks particularly modest.
