Perange tracked leaders, close up from 12th, led 3 out, looked in command last, weakened flat, just held on
Laudamus prominent, chased leader 15th to 3 out, looked held under pressure after, kept on again before last, gaining on winner finish
Treasulier led, driven bend after 9th, banked 11th, headed 13th, soon dropped to 4th under pressure, kept on again from 2 out, just held
Bermuda Pointe raced on outer, mostly tracked leader, led 13th, headed 3 out, nearly upsides 2 out, weakened badly last, walked home
Sycho Fred last early, reached midfield by 8th, reminders next, just in touch when blundered 15th, no impression after
Noble Buck held up in rear, mistake 7th, 8th and off the pace when unseated rider 11th
The Hero Sullivan mistakes, in touch to 12th, struggling from next, tailed off when pulled up after 15th
Jamadiel in touch until dropped out 10th, pulled up after next
Felix Rex blundered around in rear, tailed off when pulled up before 15th
Appreciating the step up to 3m, the winner stayed on strongly after the second-last to put it down to Bermuda Pointe and assert on the run-in. His trainer has had a good spell recently and feels that he now has a well-handicapped horse on his hands.
The admirable Treasulier also rallied well having adopted his usual front-running role. He was clearly at the top of his game after a break, but the handicapper is making life tough for him now.
