Nemetan tracked leading pair, pushed along in 4th after 13th, rallied and not fluent 2 out, stayed on to lead last, soon clear
Kew Jumper tracked leading pair, went 2nd after 12th, upsides after next, driven to lead 2 out, headed and weakened last
Laskari held up in last pair, progress to 3rd at 13th, soon pushed along, tried to close from 2 out, mistake last, one pace
Ruairi took keen hold, tracked leader, led 12th, driven 3 out, headed next, still on terms when blundered last, weakened
Roznic settled in last pair, not fluent 12th, lost touch from next, soon behind
Black De Bessy led, blundered 3rd, headed 12th, weakened rapidly, tailed off
The winner looked in trouble leaving the back, but his rider said thathe wasn’t enjoying the sticky ground on that section of the course. He picked up the bit once again in the straight and flew home after the second-last to join in and come right away in the closing stages.
Kew Jumper battled on well for second andcontinues in good form. He’d have preferred better ground, but his stable can do little wrong at present.
Ruairi was in there pitching until after the last, where he couldn’t match the speed of the principles. A slightly stiffer test suits him.
