SOU'WESTER followed up his recent Newton Abbot success in similar conditions. He seems to handle most types of ground and looks the type who could be kept going through the spring and early summer.
Farmer's Lad was the least exposed over fences and there is a chance he will be better suited by quicker conditions as he travelled and jumped but had no answers to the winner.
Zorro De La Vega, wearing blinkers for the first time, once again gave the impression he is not straightforward and probably wants better ground.
