Analyis of the race
A fair gallop in the conditions to this 3m handicap hurdle in which the first two finished well clear, and they were well strung out behind them.
BORIS THE BLADE, who was below-par last time, bounced back to form on ground that suits. In touch, hewent clear from the third-last, was 4l ahead jumping the final flight, and, though he tired a bit after that, just held on; he's going the right way.
Etched In Stone finished second for the third consecutive time this season, but did nothing wrong, for he was outpaced after the second-last but rallied well and only just failed to get up. He certainly deserves to find a race, but he has already gone up 8lb without winning and faces another rise after this.
