Analyis of the race
Very little strength in depth to this maiden hurdle which was won in effortless fashion by form-pick RAYSROCK. Although he was a touch keen early on, he travelled strongly and, clear from the third-last, strolled home without being asked any sort of question to win by 34l.
With his market rival Ballynalty Express running another disappointing race, the rest were a modest bunch, and it was the 72-rated Uncle Michael who kept on for second, despite a mistake at the last.
Kandelin made ground from the third-last, but had been a bit keen early and found little after the last.
Ballynalty Express wasn't particularly fluent, and was pulled up for the second time in succession. He may need better ground.
