Hall Of Flame took keen hold, held up in midfield, effort before 3 out, outpaced from next
Stark Raven prominent until ridden and weakened before 3 out
Abzuson led to 6th, close up until weakened from 3 out
Kalic D´Alm held up, headway before 3 out, weakened from next
Gallant Girl always behind, no impression when brought down 3 out
Toy Gun always behind, tailed off when pulled up after 4 out
Dantor chased leaders, struggling 6th, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out
Nicky Tam chased leaders, 6 lengths sixth and outpaced when blundered and unseated rider 3 out
Cooldine Lad held up, ridden and outpaced when fell heavily 3 out
RECKLESS VENTURE is a progressive sort who followed up his win here 17 days earlier. Racing in touch, he went on three out, was clear at the last and galloped on strongly. No doubt he'll be hammered for this wide-margin success in what was in essence a poor race, but he's a horse on the upgrade.
A guide to his improvement is the runner-up Neidpath Castle, who was beaten 18l by him here last time, but, on 7lb worse terms, was even further behind him this time although he was his only danger from the third-last.
Nicky Tam was in sixth - but struggling - when he unseated his rider three out.
Toy Gun, who made the running when beaten last time, was dropped out, didn't jump as well and was never going. Trainer Howard Johnson's representative told the stewards that the race may have come too soon after his previous run eight days ago. The stewards ordered the horse to be routine-tested.
