CLASSIC CHIC, who had shown a degree of promise in bumpers, made a winning debut over hurdles, coming from off the pace to challenge at the last and just getting home in a driving finish. He clearly goes well on the ground and stamina is his forte.
Calin Royal did well to bounce back considering he fell heavily at Ayr on his previous start. He raced in touch, led from three out, but was nailed on the line. This wasn't a strong race, and in view of the bad ground, the form is slightly dubious, but he should find a small race.
Classic Act is rated 73 and fairly exposed, but he got closer to Banoge this time, and, though not disgraced, will probably fare better in small handicaps.
These four were well clear of the remainder.
