This fair contest was run at a furious tempo throughout, but the pace held no terrors for veteran SUPER NOMAD on his first outing since he finished down the field here last May. Prior to that he had won an eventful race here last April, from Fifth Column and Bosco (both pulled up here), and he showed that he retains plenty of enthusiasm and ability at the age of 13 with this eighth success under rules.

Lunar Crystal, a prolific winner for the Pipe stable over the years, showed his current wellbeing when making all in a point at Badbury Rings last month but found Super Nomad much too strong here.
