Got The Urge tracked leaders, 3rd 4 out, 2nd when slight mistake 2 out, outpaced before last, no extra run-in
Swampy Blue in rear, headway after halfway, 6th after 2 out, no impression straight
Theicecreamfellow held up, progress into 7th 4 out, in touch when slight mistake 2 out, ridden and one pace
The Warrior Kane never better than mid-division, some late progress
Bullets Fancy mid-division, 8th 4 out, no impression after next
Moscow Summit mid-division, 10th halfway, no impression from 3 out
Cockneys Revival tracked leaders, 4th 4 out, weakened after next

Finnegans Girl prominent, 3rd halfway, soon weakened, tailed off

Kilganey Bridge prominent, 3rd before halfway, 5th 4 out, weakened next, tailed off when pulled up before last

Analyis of the race
He is not over-big, but he doesn’t lack battling qualities and ROAD RUNNER showed them in abundance to win this.
Always travelling well on the inside just off the pace, the winner was one of a group of horses that kicked clear after the second-last, but it looked ominous when the favourite ranged up on the outside. A good jump at the last grabbed back the lead and he ground it out from there to prevail. He’ll continue in similar handicaps and shouldn’t get too much of a rise.
Davy Russell gavefavourite Asian Royale a very patient ride and the horse came there to win his race before the final flight, but he looked a bit reluctant to go past and proceeded to land flat-footed over the final flight. While that didn’t help, Road Runner wanted it that bit more and it would seem there’s a reason the second is running up a sequence of second placings.
Bar The Rest was the subject of a morning market move, but was never close enough to challenge and just stayed on at the one pace, while Got The Urge was close enough throughout, before he was driven to draw on inthe group of four that went clear after the second-last. He weakened from the final flight, but ran a decent enough race.
Swampy Blue ran a reasonably eyecatching race as well. He was never seen with any kind of chance, but stayed on from well back to be closest at the finish.
Finnegans Girl finished last but one and was found to be in season. [JOH]
