Safari Sundowner tracked leader, ridden to lead just over 2f out, clear 1f out, readily
Sun Of The Sea took keen hold, held up in touch, effort and wanting to hang left over 1f out, went 2nd inside final furlong, no chance with winner
Blacktoft pulled hard, held up well in touch in last place, ridden and effort 2f out, hung left from over 1f out, kept on to go 3rd well inside final furlong but never pace to threaten winner
Denbera Dancer led at slow gallop, headed and ridden just over 2f out, one pace and lost 2 places inside final furlong
Mr Napoleon took keen hold, held up in touch, ridden 2f out, kept on same pace under pressure
Cavalry Guard took keen hold, held up in 3rd, ridden just over 2f out, soon well outpaced
The race, however, turned into a farce as a contest with Denbera Dancer setting a pedestrian gallop early on which, if anything, got slower before SAFARI SUNDOWNER took it up over two furlongs out. The winner is clearly in good heart at present, although the form of this contest should be treated with caution.
Blacktoft was not suited by the way the race was run. He was keen early on and was always going to struggle coming off such a steady gallop.
