Josh You Are held up in 3rd place, headway to join leader 5f out, led 3f out, driven 2f out, stayed on well until headed and no extra towards finish
Wait For The Will chased leader, closed 7f out, dropped to 3rd 5f out, shaken up to chase leader 2f out, one pace under pressure final furlong
Generous Lad took keen hold, led, clear until steadied and reduced lead 7f out, joined 5f out and soon ridden, headed 3f out, weakened over 1f out
Lordswood steadied start, held up in last, closed and in touch 6f out, ridden and effort just over 2f out, soon weakened
The first to challenge him was Josh You Are, who had looked like adding to his recent haul until he was headed late on by CAPITALISE.
It had always been the plan to bring the winner from behind, tactics that have worked so well with him recently. He has proved he is versatile regarding the trip and while connections appear to have got to the bottom of him now, his rider reported that he does still have his quirks.
Wait For The Will ran another solid race. He is getting on in age but once again illustrated he still knows the time of day.
