Hucking Heat looked in real trouble at the back, hard ridden before the home turn but somehow he picked up strongly once straightened up for home to stay on past everything except the winner.
Hanbrin Bhoy and Binnion Bay stayed on from off the pace in the closing stages but the former is much less exposed on the Flat and his only previous win had come on this surface. This represented a return to form following somepoor efforts on turf and he's one to keep a close eye on on this surface as he's open to further improvement.
Im Ova Ere Dad made good headway to join front rank early in the straight before keeping on at one pace.
