Unbreak My Heart dwelt, settled in midfield, progress on outer 3f out, led 2f out, driven and stayed on well from over 1f out
Harry Gee chased leaders, driven over 2f out, progress over 1f out, stayed on to take 2nd near finish
Blue Sky Basin with leaders, upsides 3f out to well over 1f out, chased winner after, no impression and lost 2nd near finish
Grand Cuvee mostly in midfield, ridden over 2f out, switched sharply right over 1f out, stayed on, never able to challenge
Jasmines Hero dwelt, held up in detached last, shaken up 3f out, progress on outer from 2f out, hanging right but kept on
Distant Charm well in rear, ridden over 3f out, switched right and some progress under pressure 2f out, hanging after, weakened final furlong
Giant Love with leader, upsides 2f out, not quicken well over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Fervent Prince stumbled start, made most to 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Karky Schultz close up, challenged and upsides over 2f out, weakening when bumped over 1f out
Greystoke Prince never on terms, struggling under pressure over 3f out
Close To Paradise held up in rear, brief effort under pressure 2f out, soon weakened
Pearl Dealer sweating, started slowly, held up in rear, came widest of all in straight, weakened over 2f out, tailed off
UNBREAK MYHEART won despite stumbling badly at Windsor on his previous outing, and he followed up here in most pleasing fashion. Although the victory was no more than workmanlike, he was really asserting inside the final furlong, and to win with such authority giving weight to everything was encouraging. He looks set to make up into a smashing three-year-old, and it would be no surprise if he stayed further than 1m, even if his pedigree is hardly stout.
Harry Gee, a Chester winner earlier this year, was under pressure some way out, but he did not flinch and stayed on determinedly. A pretty consistent sort, he is good enough to win an ordinary nursery even from a mark that will rise slightly for this run.
Blue Sky Basin ran much better than he had in a hotter race at Doncaster, where he did not help his cause by running with the choke out. Always up there, he showed a good cruising speed but still finished his race well. There are more races to be won with him, while a first win should be a possibility for Grand Cuvee, who was staying on quite nicely.
Distant Charm and Giant Love both performed respectably, as did the prominently ridden Fervent Prince, although the latter did not look to get home upped to this distance.
Disappointment of the race was Pearl Dealer, but he got into a muck sweat before the race, and almost certainly threw away any chance he had before the stalls even opened.
