None was more talented than Timmy Murphy, who produced one of his ultra-polished hold-up rides to win on ESTATE, whom he nursed into contention before nudging the gelding to a cosy success.
Quite how much the five-year-old had in hand is debatable, but this clearly represented a welcomereturn to a form that is very possibly linked to his recent move to Eoghan O'Neill. He will certainly be very interesting if returned to jumping, as his hurdles rating of 117 is only 2lb higher than the mark off which he beat at Crow Wood at Bangor 14 months ago when, like here, he was partnered by Murphy. As such, he is definitely one to watch when going back over flights, particularly if his favourite jockey can ride.
Go Amwell came here in search of a hat-trick, and he was not far off getting it. He did not enjoy that much room against the fence but it did not seem to stop him, and he certainly rallied gamely. It's far from inconceivable that he could soon resume winning ways, especially as hepulled a long way clear of the fourth.
Moonshine Beach has been bang out of form, but he seemed to run better here, although quite what he achieved is open to question.
Sand Repeal went nicely for a long way but was ultimately beaten into another parish.
