Flying Clarets tracked leaders, led 8f out, quickened over 4f out, held on gamely
The Grey Berry slowly into stride, shaken up and soon took keen hold in rear, effort 4f out, not much room over 2f out, challenged 1f out, no extra towards finish
Best Prospect held up in rear, smooth headway and not clear run over 2f out, effort 1f out, soon ridden and kept on same pace
Yossi soon tracking leaders, not much room on inner over 2f out, faded approaching final furlong
Red Lancer mid-division, one pace final 3f
Hollow Ridge took keen hold, led after 1f, headed 8f out, weakened over 1f out
Extreme Measures held up in rear, driven 4f out, never a threat
Hassaad prominent, driven 4f out, weakened 2f out
Wind Star prominent, effort on outer over 3f out, weakened 2f out
Go Tech led 1f, chased leaders, lost place over 3f out
Bailieborough held up in rear, headway on wide outside 4f out, lost place over 2f out
Golden Dagger prominent, driven 4f out, soon lost place, behind and eased inside final furlong
The Grey Berry went down fighting in second. Held-up as usual, he made smooth headway to throw down a challenge but, hard though he tried, he was unable to gain the upper hand. This was a career-best effort from a horse who has made fine strides this season.
