Night Crescendo took keen hold, held up in midfield, headway on inner over 2f out, led inside final furlong, ridden out
Mutajarred tracked leaders, ridden to lead over 1f out, headed and no extra inside final furlong
Mr Aviator in touch, ridden and pulled out over 2f out, kept on but not pace to trouble leading pair
Perfectperformance held up behind, headway 3f out, chased leaders and switched right over 1f out, soon no impression
Press The Button led, ridden over 2f out, headed over 1f out, weakened final furlong
Zero Tolerance pressed leader, ridden and every chance over 2f out, weakened final furlong
Corriolanus held up towards rear, ridden and effort 3f out, soon no impression
Lady Stardust held up towards, ridden and struggling 3f out, no chance last 2f
Speedy Sam pushed along early, soon chasing leaders, ridden 3f out, soon weakened
Ofaraby held up in last, never on terms, virtually pulled up final furlong, tailed off
Connections could not find a reason for NIGHT CRESCENDO's poor effort in the Cambridgeshire, but he bounced right back to his best here under a patient ride from Ted Durcan, who brought him from off the pace and enjoyed a lovely run up the inside rail tolead inside the final furlong.
This was a decent effort, but he was 2lb out of the handicap and will pay for it, especially as the first two pulled clear.
Mr Aviator settled better than at Newbury and ran all right, but former smart juvenile Perfectperformance, who won the Royal Lodge here in 2004, came under pressure with 2f to go and clearly isn't the force of old.
