RACE THE MOON was in rear early on and still only had one behind turning for home, but he finished to good effect to reverse recent Kempton placings with Bermacha. He was inclined to hang under pressure and may not be entirely straightforward, but he is starting his handicap career on a very handy mark and should be able to find more races.
Bermacha was never far away, though she did meet with a littleearly interference here. She battled on well in the straight to hold off the persistent challenge of Warming Up, but had nothing left in reserve to repel the winner's late charge.
Marmite, who won a couple of 7f sellers in July, struggled to make an impression on her nursery debut at Kempton last month and, though she did a bit better here, she was never really in the shake-up and may need a drop before she is winning again.
Jamie Spencer reported that Johnny Friendly had run too freely early on.
