BARNEY MCGREW had been running in better company than this recently, and put in another solid effort on his return to the Polytrack. He was full of running at the line, and could have won this by further if asked.
Capricorn Run did his chances no favours when jumping away slowly. He was given a vigorous ride to get closest nearest at the line. He is suited to this surface and may well be a factor in one of these soon should he get a bit of luck.
Bertoliver took it up over 1f out. He again showed that this trip is beyond him. Dingaan showed a tendency to hang in behind Grand Show at the top of the straight. He got going late on, but he is not the easiest of individuals to get to the bottom of.
**Tom Queally, the rider of Lady Lily, reported that the filly had no more to give.
**George Baker, the rider of Efistorm, reported that the gelding was denied a clear run.
**Martin Dwyer, the rider of Buy On The Red, reported that the gelding run too freely.
**Adam Kirby, the rider of Grand Show, reported that the gelding got upset in the stalls.
