Pinch Of Salt always going well, in touch, led on bit over 2f out, soon pushed well clear, eased towards finish
Maslak chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, chased winner over 1f out, no chance with winner
Lord Of Dreams held up towards rear, headway over 3f out, driven to dispute 2nd 1f out, no chance with winner
Ocean Avenue held up in last pair, ridden and headway over 2f out, plugged on, never dangerous
Hope Road chased leader, ridden and every chance over 2f out, soon hanging right and beaten
Medieval Maiden held up in last, ridden and raced awkwardly 3f out, never on terms
Spring Goddess held up in midfield, ridden and effort on outer 3f out, no chance last 2f
Devolution slowly into stride, soon in midfield, ridden and weakened well over 2f out
Border Edge took keen hold, led and clear until 4f out, headed over 2f out, soon weakened
Maslak tried to cover the winner's move but was himself headed by a couple of rivals inside the last 2f before staying on the better to snatch back second. He clearly enjoys the surface and continues to run well but that does his rating no good and he looks in the handicapper's grip.
Hope Road had no excuses and failed to run to recent form with the winner - he looks one to treat with caution. Border Edge ran far too keenly in the lead and failed to get home over this longer trip.
