Analyis of the race
Another strongly run race and an impressive winner in CATIVO CATALLINO, who continues to be a revelation since brought back to sprinting and is keeping pace with the best efforts of the handicapper.
Connections reported that loose, soft ground on the downhill run at Goodwood was his undoing last time, as he enjoys getting his toe in. He had not shone on this surface previously, but that was in his former incarnation as a stayer. He had this won before the final furlong and was full value for the wide margin.
Prince Of Delphi was staying on when it was all over to nab an unlikely second. He remains a maiden but relatively lightly raced. This was a promising first effort on the all-weather to suggest better to come.
Royal Challenge confirmed he has eased to an attractive mark. Hucking Hill looks to have gone the wrong way now after promising early efforts in blinkers.
