Proud Killer raced against near side rail, pressed leader, ridden to lead over 1f out, clear inside final furlong
Looks Could Kill chased leaders, ridden 2f out, kept on to take 2nd inside final furlong, no threat to winner
Our Ruby soon ridden in last and struggling, kept on final 2f against near side rail, never able to challenge
Castano led to over 1f out, weakened
Goose Green tracked leaders until weakened well over 1f out
Silver Hotspur close up until weakened 2f out
Plateau awkward start, settled in rear on outer, reminder and no progress over 2f out, no chance when eased final furlong
That worried jockeys as divots were filling with water, which led to the meeting being abandoned.
PROUD KILLER was the latest to take the stands'-rail line to victory, although he was outpaced mid-race as they again blazed away in spite of the conditions.
Castano could not keep up the gallop in the final furlong and Proud Killer, one of the biggest in the field, steamrollered to victory; but in light of worsening conditions, the form has to be treated with caution.
Our Ruby was badly outpaced and going nowhere at halfway but followed the winner's line against the stands' rail to plug on for an unlikely third as those racing wider out subsided late.
