The Fifth Member tracked near side leaders, ridden to lead over 1f out, drew clear final furlong
Red Somerset slowly into stride, held up behind near side leaders, effort and not clear run over 1f out, went 2nd inside final furlong, no chance with winner
Best One pressed near side leader, led 3f out to over 1f out, one pace under pressure
Alpes Maritimes led near side to 3f out, close up until faded 1f out
Perfect Treasure led far side pair, not on terms with near side over 1f out
Finsbury outpaced in last on near side, effort over 2f out, not reach leaders over 1f out, weakened
Highland Harvest joined far side leader after 1f, weakened over 2f out, eased over 1f out, tailed off
Averticus tracked near side leaders until weakened over 2f out, eased, tailed off
Grizedale chased near side leaders 3f, soon weakened, tailed off
Glencalvie behind from halfway, tailed off
Two more tried the inside-rail route to even less effect with Perfect Treasure also hanging left towards the others and Highland Harvest crying enough past halfway.
Connections admitted to worry about the ground for THE FIFTH MEMBER but needn't have as he sloshed clear when asked.
His out-of-character run on the all-weather last time should not be viewed as not acting on the Polytrack asconnections reported he did not get the run of the race and he remains a progressive three-year-old with more options to stay ahead of the handicapper now he has shown he acts on all ground.
Best One travelled well into the lead at halfway but struggled home over this trip on this ground. He is coming down the ratings.
