Baybshambles raced far side, held up, headway over 1f out, stayed on well towards centre to lead last 100yds
Spirit Of Coniston raced far side, overall leader, hung left intersection over 3f out, headed and no extra inside final furlong
Two Acres raced far side, with leaders, kept on same pace inside final furlong
Royal Guest started slowly, raced stands' side, headway 2f out, stayed on to lead that group inside final furlong
Valiant Romeo raced stands' side, chased leaders, led that group and edged left over 1f out, kept on same pace
No Time raced far side, chased leaders, weakened final furlong
Sharp Hat reared start, raced stands' side, headway to chase leaders over 3f out, kept on same pace over 1f out
The Geester dwelt and slightly hampered soon after start, raced stands' side, never troubled leaders
Axis Shield raced far side, with leaders, weakened approaching final furlong
Legal Set led stands' side until headed and weakened over 1f out
Safranine raced stands' side, with leaders, lost place 2f out
Maromito raced stands' side, with leaders, lost place over 1f out
Golband raced far side, chased leaders, hung right and lost place 2f out
He came off the pace to lead in the last 100 yards and win decisively.
Spirit Of Coniston led on that far side and showed good pace but could not hold the winner's late challenge.
Two Acres showed good pace too and kept on to finish a respectable third. It was an improved performance.
No Time, under a penalty and top weight, was another to show speed on the far side. The ground had gone against him and he is worth another chance if he can find some fast ground.
