GREEN FINGER had never won ground as soft as this but travelled well before eventually outbattling the runner up in the closing stages. However, as far asthe future is concerned he is plenty high enough in the weights for what he has done recently and connections plan to send him to the Doncaster sales later this month.
Nippy Des Mottes was trying this far for the first time but seemed to get it well enough as he only went down narrowly. He has won with some cut in the ground, but this was really soft and he ran well enough in the circumstances.
Almaydan did not relish on the ground.
