Scotmail Lad towards rear, struggling halfway, never on terms
Fencote Gold led 2nd, just headed when fell 6th
Barney led until blundered and unseated rider 1st
Newbay Lady left in lead 1st, headed next, close up, challenging when fell heavily 8th
The runner-up again showed better form with the cheekpieces back on and helooks capable of winning off this mark with his preferred head gear applied.
