Brown Fox in touch, took closer order 7th, led on bit after 2 out, steadily drew clear, comfortably
Westfield Dancer led, ridden and headed after 2 out, kept on but no chance with winner from last
Or Sing About mid-division, headway after 7th, ridden and effort after 2 out, kept on same pace from last
Miss Merenda chased leader until ridden approaching 2 out, one pace after
Check Up mid-division, lost place 6th, headway approaching 2 out, ridden approaching last, one pace
Gold Again held up towards rear, ridden after 7th, some late progress but never a danger
Prime Bere chased leaders, driven along from 7th, close 5th when blundered 3 out, soon weakened
Indigo Sky chased leaders until weakened 2 out
Silver Island hit 6th, always behind, lost touch 7th, tailed off and pulled up before last
Grande Creole pulled hard, held up, fell 5th
BROWN FOX had not been disgraced over course and distance earlier this month and came good here. She had looked suspect in the stamina department on a few occasions but stayed well in the context of this race, but the form is obviously modest for the future.
Westfield Dancer goes up 3lb from the weekend so this was his last chance in 0-100 company. His two recent wins - one in a seller - have seen him go up 20lb, and life will be difficult now.
Miss Merenda holds no secrets and has not won for the best part of two years.
