Eskimo Jack chased leader, led 3rd, well clear from 3 out, unchallenged
Mister Club Royal led to 3rd, chased winner, ridden approaching 4 out, no impression from 3 out
Raregem held up and behind, headway 12th, weakened after 4 out
Batchworth Lock prominent, hit 8th, weakened 12th, mistake 14th, tailed off when pulled up after 4 out
Fox In The Box mistake 1st, soon behind, ridden after 11th, tailed off when mistake 16th, pulled up before 4 out
Annie Dipper held up in touch, not much room 12th, soon behind, tailed off when pulled up before 4 out
Long Night held up, poor 4th from 14th until pulled up before 2 out
Early Edition started slowly, held up in rear, shortlived effort after 13th, tailed off when pulled up before 16th
River Quoile held up and behind, mistakes 9th and 10th, tailed off when pulled up before 14th
It developed into a war of attrition with ESKIMO JACK leading them home at intervals. He had been beaten a long way in the Foxhunters at Aintree, but was able to dominate here and had things in the bag from some way out. He obviously gallops and handles this surface.
