Comments in running

Gee Dee Nen tracked leaders, headway 3f out, led 2f out, ridden clear entering final furlong, stayed on

Boxhall led, ridden along 3f out, headed 2f out and soon driven, kept on under pressure inside final furlong

Bronze Dancer tracked leaders, pushed along over 4f out, ridden to challenge over 2f out and every chance until driven and hung left over 1f out, soon beaten

Trance chased leader, headway to challenge 3f out, soon ridden and kept on same pace final 2f

Most Definitely held up in rear, headway 3f out, ridden to chase leaders when hampered over 1f out, soon beaten

Analyis of the race

This turned out to be a messy affair in the closing stages, but GEE DEE NEN escaped the bother and scooted away to win by a wide margin. Obviously he may be flattered by the bare result, but he stretched out well in the last furlong and easier groundwill suit.

Boxhall, who was keen enough and made the running, kept on again when the winner had gone on this second run for a new stable.

Bronze Dancer, settled in the rear at the outset, was pushed along on the turn but came to seemingly win his race but then hung left and then right under pressure, though he did keep on. Maybe this track did not really suit.

Approaching the final 2f Most Definitely appeared to be going as well as any, but then a gap between the first and second closed and he was badly hampered by the winner who then took his ground again when he was switched right. He is not one who has found a lot when it mattered in the past, however.
