Promising Lead will soon be seeking black type after settling well and overcoming greenness when she hit the front under Frankie Dettori. She is not the finished article by any means and will definitely get a mile at least.
Owner Khalid Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said: "She had a super pedigree but there is no action plan yet. With a filly lke this you are looking at getting some black type."
Sister Act, an sister to the superb miler Soviet Song, is a virtual carbon copy of her relative. She looked as if this would do her the power of good and yet her sheer class enabled her to throw down a challenge inside the final furlong. She had a good blow afterwards and will greatly benefit from this experience.
It was six lengths back to Irish 1,000 Guineas entrant Talk More, who is going to be a lot sharperfor this while Azeema showed promise along with Sympatric Friendly, although neither ever looked like striking a blow.
