La Dame Brune held up in midfield, progress 6th, led after 7th, clear and hit 2 out, easily
Knockara Luck held up in midfield, headway 6th, clear with winner before 3 out, soon outpaced and no chance with winner
Eden Linty held up towards rear, headway after 5th, ridden to chase leading pair before 3 out, soon no impression and beaten
Gaelic Gift chased leaders, ridden 6th, weakened before 3 out
Reel Charmer chased leaders, led before 7th until before 3 out, soon weakened, tailed off
Ring Back held up in touch on outer, joined leaders 7th, ridden and weakened before next, tailed off
Cyd Charisse held up in midfield, headway after 5th, ridden and weakened before 3 out, tailed off
Mystic Steel always behind, tailed off from before 3 out
Poppy Maroon led until before 7th, weakened before 3 out, tailed off
Solent Sunbeam chased leaders until 4th, ridden and lost place before next, tailed off
St Philips Girl always behind, tailed off from 5th
Drink Light held up in touch until fell 5th
Strawberry chased leaders until ridden and weakened 7th, blundered next, tailed off and pulled up last
Vicky Bee held up in touch until 6th, tailed off and pulled up 2 out
Little Venus behind, mistake 3rd, lost touch after 5th, tailed off and pulled up 3 out
Iron Maid behind, lost touch 6th, tailed off when fell 3 out
LA DAME BRUNE deserves plenty of credit, though, as she revelled in the ground and drew ever further clear from the home turn without having to be strongly driven. She is just rising five and has obviously come back stronger after her bumper season. Apart from messing up the third-last when moving ahead, she jumped like an old hand and can progress further.
Eden Linty made a brief move at the end of the back straight and kept on for strong driving on this hurdling debut. She showed her bumper win at 100-1 was no fluke and she should win her share
Gaelic Gift and Reel Charmer kept plodding away but were never in contention but Ring Back raced up with the pace before looking to run out of stamina.
