Peveril Pride chased leader, led 4 out, soon clear, hit last, easily

Stormy Skye led until 4th, ridden and outpaced 14th, stayed on one pace from 3 out, went 2nd near finish

Carroll´s O´Tully close up, led 4th, pecked 7th, not fluent and headed 4 out, soon outpaced by winner, lost 2nd near finish

Ballyaahbutt took keen hold, tracked leaders, pushed along 12th, hard ridden 4 out, weakened next

Ebony Jack held up in 5th, outpaced 14th, blundered next, behind when blundered 3 out

Levallois jumped stickily in rear, well behind from 8th, pulled up after 10th

Strolling Vagabond always in rear, well behind from 8th, pulled up after 13th

None of these held any secrets as they were all well exposed in this gruelling long-distance chase.

PEVERIL PRIDE made amends for falling heavily at Lingfield last time and won with something in hand. But he beat very little and the form is average.

Stormy Skye has dropped to a winnable mark but appears in decline.

Ballyaahbutt remains a maiden after 13 tries and the headgear has not had the desired effect.
