Hoh Viss in touch, left 2nd at 6th, led 9th, clear 4 out, mistake 2 out, unchallenged
Flintoff chased leaders, jumped slowly 7th, went 2nd at 10th, ridden and held 4 out, tired when jumped right and hit 3 out and last
Solid As A Rock always behind, no chance from 10th
Colony Hill mistake 5th, lost touch 10th
Bally Bolshoi never going well, mistake 3rd, behind from 7th, tailed off when pulled up before 2 out
Barton Legend chased leader until blundered badly and unseated rider 6th
Nonantais jumped right, led until 9th, weakened 11th, 3rd and no chance when refused last
HOH VISS would have gone close on his chasing debut last time but for a mistake. He made amends by simply outclassing his rivals. However the win should not be over-rated as Flintoff finished a very tired horse and Nonantais eventually threw in the towel when well beaten. The winner loves these conditions and there must be a big chance he will be placed to follow up in a similar contest.
Solid As A Rock was beaten a long way but will be seen to better effect when handicapped.
Nonantais again jumped to the right and that will have to be sorted out before he can win over fences as he was well beaten when refusing.
