Things started badly for 3-1 favourite JENNVERSE when she missed the break and hardly improved when she was crowded out when trying to challenge at the two-furlong pole. However, the filly kept on trying and when the split came on the far rails in the last 200 yards she needed no second invitation. She might return here on Sunday.

Firework was considered a gallop short, so he has run a blinder. He came with a promising challenge on the fence, only to blow up, but, even then, he kept on battling and he seems to be on the way back.
