Honours went to MISTRESS TWISTER, who just got the better of Gaelic Princess in a driving finish. A fair performer, the winner lacks nothing in courage.
Gaelic Princess was held-up last in a slowly-run race and was then forced to switch to make her challenge. She only just failed and, on another day, with a stronger gallop and a cleaner run, she might have won.
Flying Clarets, who failed to settle because of the dawdling early gallop, was under pressure, but was still in with a chance when she was struck across the face by a rival jockey's whip approaching the final furlong.
Noora ran a creditable race, while Danehill Dazzler, although finishing last of the six, was beaten little more than four lengths.
