Baltic Princess, a stablemate of the winner, and, like him, making her handicap bow, shaped well. Although she was outpaced when the tempo finally increased, she kept on well close home to nick second place. A stiffer test of stamina will suit her better.
Merveilles was patiently ridden. Moving up smoothly three furlongs out, he soon came under pressure and was found wanting.
