Analyis of the race

Just a run-of-the-mill handicap, but a second course-and-distance win for BAHAMIAN DUKE, who dug deep to get the better of Northern Chorus after the pair locked horns inside the last. The winner is learning how to race now and is growing up by the week. The best of him may be still to come.

Northern Chorus lost no caste in defeat and went down fighting. He is overdue a winning turn.

Desert Hunter ran a creditable race, finishing a close-up third.

Optical Seclusion met a little bit of interference, but not enough to think that he was unlucky.

Lyndalee raced keenly in the front-rank, but failed to get home and She's Our Beauty never showed.
